The foreign exchange market, also referred to as forex or FX, is the global currency trading market.

On the forex market one currency is exchanged for another. The single most important thing on the forex market is the exchange rate between two currencies, otherwise known as a currency pair.

The forex market is the largest, most liquid market in the world with an average daily trading volume in excess of $1.6 trillion. All the world's combined stock markets come nowhere near this.

Forex trading provides many potentially rewarding trading opportunities that are not available with other investments.
